A place where learning and family come together
Kirchheim bei München, 02.01.2024
Introduction to our terms and conditions
At Lima Language School we firmly believe in the power of education and learning. Our main goal is to help our students achieve their linguistic and personal goals. We are innovative in our approach, providing not only quality teaching but also carefully prepared supplementary material to make learning more accessible and effective.
We pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere where every student is part of our family. Beyond opening a book, we open opportunities, motivate and guide our students every step of their educational journey. At Lima Language School, you are not just a student, but a valued member of a community that cares deeply about your success.
Target group and communication
Our courses are designed for people of all ages from 5 upwards with no age limit. This reflects the diversity and richness of our educational offer. In our communication, we maintain a formal and friendly tone to ensure that every interaction is respectful and clear to avoid misunderstandings.
Important aspects of our T&Cs
It is essential for us that our students are well informed about our policies. One of the most important aspects is the payment process: we ask that payments are made upon receipt of the invoice and before the course starts. We would also like to emphasize our flexibility: At Lima Language School, a group course can also be organized with only one person, adapting the hours but always achieving the learning objectives.
Since 2023, all our courses have been held online. Because we are based in Munich, Bavaria, we take into account the public holidays of Bavaria when planning our courses.

2 Scope of application
2.1 General business relations: These General Terms and Conditions govern the business relationship between Lima Sprachschule, Owner: Rosa De Paz, Am Brunnen 11, 85551 Kirchheim bei München (hereinafter referred to as the “Seller”) and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the “Customer”). They apply to all courses and services offered by Lima Sprachschule in the version valid at the time of the order.
2.2 Customer service and contact options: As our courses are offered online, we do not have a physical office presence. However, our customer service is available for advice and support from Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. You can contact us by telephone on 01590 1954130 or 089 74040569. We recommend leaving a message so that we can send you detailed information in writing via email, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook or Instagram. In addition, we offer specific online inquiry forms on our website to enable us to provide efficient and accurate advice.
2.3 Definition of consumer: For the purposes of these GTC, “consumer” means
– Any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for a purpose which can predominantly be attributed neither to their commercial nor their independent professional activity (Section 13 BGB).
– All companies, regardless of their size or sector.
2.4 Deviating terms and conditions: Deviating terms and conditions of the customer shall not be recognized unless Lima Sprachschule expressly agrees to their validity.
2.5 Updates to the GTC: Lima Sprachschule reserves the right to update these GTC as necessary. Customers will be notified of any changes in good time.
2.6 No geographical restrictions: Our courses are available worldwide, with class times based on the time zone in Germany (CET/CEST).
2.7 Registration of minors is always in the name of the child’s tutor or parent, who receives the invoice but always enters the participant’s details in order to check attendance.
2.8 The seller wants to offer a fair service through a fair payment, so we offer the possibility to buy hours, days or weeks. This way the customer only buys the parts of the course they actually want to attend. This does not apply to last minute changes.
2.9 The seller reserves the organization of each course: classroom, schedule, location and teacher according to the reservation of the place.
2.10 Any change relating to a course record, whether it be cancellation or change of course (by level), will be requested in writing by completing our forms in person or by completing the cancellation forms on our website.
2.11 The seller has an updated table to ensure the order of our courses for each language. Therefore, there is a specific time for each level, based on which the number of hours and the number of participants are determined. The language school is not responsible if there are participants who cannot keep up with the progress of the course or do not reach the expected level despite attending the course.
2.12 The seller has the right to choose his teachers and to make changes. This change is not a reason for canceling or terminating the course. However, in these situations, the language school will explain the reasons if necessary.
2.13 The seller reserves the right to accept new clients, even if the course has already started. Therefore, if the number of lessons per week changes (due to the number of participants), the difference in lessons will always start from the day the new participant joins.
2.14 If the removal of a client generates automatic reduction of hours, the group will be advised as soon as possible and the hours will be reduced by distributing the number and according to the number of participants. This is therefore not an option to cancel the course.
2.15 Photos and videos of our school help us to show the good service we provide to our participants. By accepting our terms and conditions, permission is given by our students to use photos and videos. These recordings will not be used or sold by third parties. The use of these photos and videos will only serve the good image of Lima Language School.
2.16 The vendor will carry out an attendance check in order to issue the certificate of attendance at the end of each course with the number of hours and the level completed.
3 General provisions
3.1 Live online courses and course materials: The courses are conducted live via an online platform. Students must provide their own course materials, such as books, as these are not included in the course price and are not sold at our school. The course sessions are exclusively for the enrolled students; the presence of other people during the broadcast is not allowed.
3.2 Student Responsibilities: Students are expected to be punctual. For private lessons, the teacher will wait 15 minutes before considering the class missed. Regular attendance and completion of assignments are critical to progress. Missed attendance will not result in course cancellation or refund of payment.
3.3 Teacher Commitment: Our teachers are committed to providing professional and motivating instruction. They often prepare additional material for students to achieve the course objectives.
3.4 Use of digital platforms: Courses take place on a private Microsoft Teams account; it is not necessary for students to create their own account on this platform. As additional material, we provide access to our Moodle platform and exercises in various programs that include games and activities to facilitate learning.
3.5 Privacy and data security: We respect the privacy and protection of our students’ data. The detailed policies can be viewed on our website via the links to the [Privacy Policy](https://www.iubenda.com/privacy-policy/71582174) and the [Cookie Policy](https://www.iubenda.com/privacy-policy/71582174/cookie-policy).
3.6 Copyright and use of educational material: All material produced by Lima Language School is intended solely for the learning of our students and may not be shared. Downloading presentations and other teacher materials is strictly prohibited.
3.7 Course or schedule adjustments and absences in group courses: If a student in a group course misses a class, they may lose that day’s lesson. However, if the other course participants agree, it is possible to record the session. The video will be broadcast at a time agreed with the absent participant so that they do not miss their lesson. If the participant does not attend the scheduled session to view the recording, they will lose the opportunity to view it. In private classes, cancellation is required at least 48 hours in advance during the work week (Monday through Friday).
The presentation of products in the online store is not a legally binding offer, but an invitation to place an order. Service descriptions in catalogs and on the seller’s websites do not constitute a promise or guarantee. All offers are valid “while supplies last,” unless otherwise noted on the products. Errors are reserved.
4.1 Course Offers: We offer a variety of courses, including intensive, semi-intensive, weekly, and Saturday courses. Our course formats include group classes, individual lessons, and tutorials. Each format is designed to meet the specific needs and goals of our students.
4.2 Registration Process: Registration for our courses is done online. Interested parties must complete a registration form with their personal details and select the desired course. Despite set course dates, registration does not guarantee the start of all courses, as this depends on the number of registrations. Participants should wait for email confirmation and the invoice before making payment. Lima Language School reserves the right to open or cancel courses. In the event of cancellation or change, the school will inform participants by email.
4.3 Course Details and Group Organization: Courses vary in duration and number of hours, which is reflected in the price. For some languages and levels, we offer free access to our Moodle platform. There is also the possibility of setting up WhatsApp groups for direct coordination with teachers and the school. The school may organize a group course with less than the minimum number of participants. In this case, the number of course hours is reduced according to the smaller number of participants, leading to a faster and more effective learning process. The price and content of the course remain unchanged.
4.4 Levels and Certifications: Our courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, from level A1 to C2, with each level divided into two parts (e.g., A1.1 and A1.2).
4.5 Course Customization: For private courses and tutorials, we offer tailored learning options. It is also possible to organize new group courses upon request.
4.6 Course Updates: As an innovative school, we are always looking for the best teaching methods, but maintain the structure of language levels.
4.7 Special Offers and Discounts: Starting in February, we offer a 5 euro discount for sharing positive experiences on social media with a link to us. This discount is one-time and valid for the second course. A recommendation earns a 10 euro discount for the next course, valid only once, after the recommended person has registered. We also occasionally offer discounts or raffles of free places or with up to 50% reduced course fees, which are promoted on our social networks. Sibling discount: If siblings attend the same course, the second sibling receives a 5% discount – both must be at the same level.

4.10 Corporate Courses in General
We have created course packages for companies at a more economical price than the private course, aimed at a good investment of the company, considering the quality of our teachers. For this reason, the company must respect the organization of these courses, which are defined in the following points:
4.10.1 The intensive course always takes place from Monday to Friday. The company can choose the schedule between shifts: morning from 09:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 17:00, or evening: from 18:00 to 21:00. It is possible to choose a different schedule if there are less than 5 participants and the number of weekly hours is reduced. On holidays within the week, it is possible to choose the date and time to make up the hours after coordination between participants and teacher.
4.10.2 For the evening course for companies, one or two days of the week are chosen: Monday to Friday and always at the same time: in a range between 17:00 and 21:00. For example: Every Tuesday from 18:30 to 20:00 or Tuesday and Thursday from 19:00 to 20:30. Each session lasts 90 minutes, week by week. In case of a holiday, the course is postponed by one week.
4.10.3 There is no possibility to change the date or time of the course once it has started.
4.10.4 If all participants miss or cancel the class, there is no possibility of making up lost class hours.
4.10.5 The maximum number of students per group is 10 people.
4.10.6 The number of class hours may change depending on the number of participants, according to the following table:
CORPORATE COURSES

4.11 Trial Lesson
4.11.1 **Private Trial Lessons and Tutoring**: It is always possible to organize a private trial lesson or tutoring. A trial lesson lasts 45 minutes. The prices for these are:
– Adult: 35€
– Student: 29€
4.11.2 Trial Lesson in a Group Course: Participation in a trial lesson in a group course can be free of charge, provided there is already at least one confirmed registration for that course. However, registration for the course is required. The student will not receive an invoice until they confirm their participation with the teacher. If there are no other registered participants, a private trial lesson can be arranged.
4.11.3 Decision after 45 minutes:
– **Private Course**: After the 45 minutes, the student can decide whether they want to continue with the course. If so, dates will be coordinated with the teacher and the student must register for the desired number of hours.
– **Group Course with another registered student**: After the 45 minutes, the teacher will ask if the student wants to continue or take time to think. If they decide to continue, the student confirms this with the teacher and remains in the course. An invoice for the course will then be automatically issued.
If the student is undecided, they have 24 hours to decide and send us an email confirming or canceling their registration. If the registration is canceled, no invoice will be issued.
5.1 Price Structure: The prices of our courses vary depending on duration, schedule, and type of progress. We offer a flexible pricing structure to meet the diverse needs and availabilities of our students.
5.2 Included and Additional Costs: In some cases and for certain language levels, access to our online platform is included in the course price. However, we would like to point out that we do not sell textbooks, and therefore they are not included in the course price. Students are responsible for procuring the required books and materials themselves.
5.3 Pricing Policy for Special Courses: Special courses, such as exam preparation or intensive courses, have their own pricing structure, which depends on the duration and schedule.
5.4 Discounts and Promotions:
– Sibling Discount: The second sibling receives a 5% discount if they attend the same course at the same level.
– “Positive Experience” Discount: A discount of 5 euros for the next course is granted when students share their positive experiences on social media with a link to us. This offer is valid once.
– Referral Discount: 10 euros discount on the next course if a referred person registers.
5.5 Price Changes: There are no price changes after registration. Price updates are generally announced on our website and in our promotional materials.
5.6 Payment Methods: The payment for the courses is made via bank transfer or PayPal. Please note that the corresponding PayPal fees are the responsibility of the student.

6.3 Deposit Policy: No deposit or advance payment is required to reserve a place in the course.
6.4 Additional Fees: For payments through PayPal, additional fees apply, which vary by country and other factors and are communicated directly to the customer.
6.5 Consequences of Late or Non-Payment: Payment must be made to begin the course. If timely payment is not made after registration, even if the customer does not attend the course, the invoice will be forwarded to a collection agency. The school sends up to 3 reminders by email, each with an additional charge of 5€.
6.6 Refund Policy: A refund is only possible on the first day of the course, if the customer is dissatisfied for a specific and irreparable reason. The customer has 12 hours after the course to request cancellation and receive the refund.
6.7 Billing Information: After registration, the school checks the feasibility of the course start. If possible, a course confirmation along with all details and the invoice is sent.
7.1 Cancellation Policies:
After registering to participate in a course, cancellation is possible, taking into account the following timeframes for individuals and courses:
7.1.1 Cancellation of Group Courses
– If you decide to cancel your participation in a group course more than 10 working days before the start of the course, no cancellation fees will apply, and you will receive a full refund.

For private courses, you can cancel your registration with a notice period of at least 2 working days before the scheduled first course date.

7.2 Cancellation Procedure
In the event that the seller makes a refund, the customer must present the refund document in written form (letter) or by email, specifying a bank account for transfer. In the case of an international bank account, the school excludes the transfer fee deemed appropriate by the bank. This fee is borne by the customer.
7.3 Cancellation Deadlines
Cancellation deadlines vary depending on the type of course, as described in section 7.1.
