Certificates of Participation: Recognizing Your Effort and Dedication at Lima Sprachschule
At Lima Sprachschule, we value your commitment to language learning. That’s why, upon completing any course you have enrolled in, we award you a certificate of participation in recognition of your effort and dedication.
What is a certificate of participation?
It is a document that certifies that you have successfully completed a language course at our school. It is not a language level certificate, but rather a recognition of your active participation and commitment to learning.
Language Levels and Certificates of Participation
Our courses are structured according to the 12 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), from A1.1 to C2.2. Each level represents a degree of language proficiency, and upon completing a course, your certificate of participation will indicate the corresponding level you have achieved.
Description of the levels:
- A1 (Beginner):
- A1.1: You have basic knowledge of the language and can understand and use very simple everyday expressions.
- A1.2: You can communicate in simple, everyday situations using basic phrases and vocabulary.
- A2 (Elementary):
- A2.1: You understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
- A2.2: You can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- B1 (Intermediate):
- B1.1: You can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
- B1.2: You can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. You can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
- B2 (Upper Intermediate):
- B2.1: You can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in your field of specialization.
- B2.2: You can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
- C1 (Advanced):
- C1.1: You can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning.
- C1.2: You can express yourself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. You can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
- C2 (Proficiency):
- C2.1: You can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.
- C2.2: You can express yourself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.
